Review:
I was afforded an opportunity to purchase this car for a very good price
from a friend. I couldn't pass it up. I normally drive an 06 Sonata LX V6.
Nice daily transportation, but a world of difference in comparison to the Q.
The Q has it's issues, but for what I paid, and considering I would never
ask a dealer to show me one new, I am very happy with it so far. I assume
that the computer controlled shift points are there to minimize wear on the
transmission and to maintain some reasonable gas mileage. It's too bad that
Infiniti has to be politically correct in their software; you can tell that
this car would really rip if it was not so constrained. Despite this issue
the car is very comfortable to drive and will afford me many miles of
comfortable highway driving. My only other issue to date is the tires. My
car is shod with continentals (H rated) and they are horrible. Out of round
when cold and soft in the corners. The car does seem to be very sensitive to
any balance issue in the tires. I will be replacing them soon. The adaptive
cruise works very well. The navigation system, although a bit dated, also
works very well. The Bose sound system sounds very good. The seats are very
comfortable, a little soft for 10 10ths driving, but very adjustable with
very quick seat heaters. To date I have averaged about 20 miles per gallon.
Overall I am very satisfied with this car and I seem to have the only one
around. It's nice to not see your car on every corner. |
