Pros:
There simply isn't a car on the road in this price range with these options that looks as slick and prestigious as the G.  I simply LOVE the exhaust profile of these cars.  Everybody complains about the Bose system - I think it's great (for stock).
Cons:
tires tires tires.  I just came on here doing some research to see if others were having the same 'noise' problems in the front end.  Turns out 80% of these folks have the same irritating issues.  I HATE IT!  I refuse to swap out perfectly good tires, so I must deal with the road noise until then. 

 The dipstick is the most ridiculous design I have ever encountered.  If you can get good visual reading off that thing after the car has been running, good luck.  If there's any oil in that chamber forget trying to get a correct reading.  It's a crapshoot.  Clutch noise - I dunno what it is but I can feel every resonance in this car in the clutch and brake pedals - a bit more feedback than I'm accustomed to.

I own a 2005 coupe with the 19" wheels and the sporty tuned suspension....I like everything about this car except its got to tire eating issue that Infiniti have not made any attempt to recall and correct...its absolutely unacceptable to pay around 40K for a car and have to change tires due to premature wear and tear and noise....very disappointed of Nissan Corp. for their lack of responsibility to standup to this issue and try to offer some type of remedy...I will never buy another Nissan product unless they come up with a solution to this issue.

Tire wear and cost of constant replacements. For almost $400 bucks a tire it doesn't seem to unreasonable to expect them to last more than 4 or 5 months, IMO. It sucks to have to replace tires with a ton of tread on them simply because they have feathered and cup'd so bad that the ride is completely unenjoyable no matter how good the car looks or how nice the engine is.

I?ve had my car for just over 2 years with approx 28K miles, on my 3rd set of front tires (2nd set for back) and expecting my 4th set soon. The feathering and cupping is totally ridiculous. I?m not a car guru but at 47 I?ve owned several other "good" cars and NEVER have I had to replace tires constantly like I have with this coupe. What?s worse is I?m told that the terrible noise and wobbling feel I get after only 5 to 6K miles is "normal" and that maybe I need to make sure the car is in alignment more often. Give me a freakin? break, am I really expected to pay for an alignment every 3K miles when I change my oil, apparently so according to my local Infiniti dealership. This is a major flaw with the coupe that they won't admit or tell you about when purchasing and has certainly swayed me NOT to purchase another Infiniti.

The car looks great and the engine is very good, but unless you?re willing to spend a couple grand a year replacing tires and paying for alignments, look for another car.

Review:
I now have 20K on my G and love it more now than the day I first purchased. This is my second G as I use to own an early 03 sedan. I ran that car for 30K miles on a three year lease with no issues. I liked that one so much I decided to buy a coupe when the lease was up. It has enough power, looks and handling, but I wanted more. I ran the car with no issue for 10K miles and have since started to modify the car as I plan on keeping this one for a long time. The looks are timeless and it is a great base to build a very powerful and great handling GT.

It is a great car out of the box, but with all the aftermarket parts available, I just could not help myself. I would not make this kind of investment into a car if I did not feel it was worthy.

I have owned a 99 M3, 95 Corvette, and a 92 Z. This car has the been the best of these in terms of overall performance and reliability. It also helps that it looks the best as well.

Fortunately I have not experienced any of the issues some of the other owners have mentioned here in terms of tire wear or noise. My only issue is that the paint could be thicker. My front end has taken a beating from the Baltimore beltway(stone chips). No big deal as I am going to replace it with aftermarket body kit anyway.

I love having all these aftermarket goodies to choose from! You can take a great car and build an amazing car. The only other car I once considered modifying was my M3, but that was expensive to begin with and even more expensive to upgrade.

Can not really comment on dealer service as I have my car serviced at a Porsche Factory Service/Racing Facility. Only the best mechanics for my baby.

This car has great performance. Looks great. Drives great. But man does it go through tires. The front tires start the cup on the inside edge and make a lot of noise at only 8 ? 10K miles. The camber on the front tires is to negative and the only way to correct this is to pull out on the front struts with a frame machine (there is no camber or caster adjustment on the front end). I would do this but there is no room to install a strut brace so the problem will probably return. This tire wear issue is unacceptable and will keep me from buying an Infiniti ever again.
