Pros:
- power
- style
- comfort |
Cons:
- Expensive Maintenance
- Brakes should be recalled! Trust me every 16,000 to 25,000 miles you'll be
laying out $1000.
Oh, did I mention the creaking front-end is due to bad suspension rods. Yes
my dealer alone has 5 sets on backorder. Fortunatley this is warranty for
now. |
Review:
I love my G35X. Lots of power, great handling. Its a pleasure to drive
myself. Its an embarrasment for passengers. Squeaking brakes, creaking
front end, Canadian NAVI that just got an update for the roadways, etc...
I harve 40000km (25000miles) and no brakes left! I was shocked as I'm a
soft driver and that its $1200 for the repair.
Infiniti feels the brakes in the 2005 G35X are perfect and there is no
early wear that would warranty assisting in the cost.
UNLESS YOU HAVE +$700 per year to set aside for your brakes, choose a
different vehicle. Our Honda for example has 70,000km and still about 15,000
left on its brakes! |

Pros:
Performance, Handling, Comfort, Room, Smooth styling that makes me never
regret buying |
Cons:
Squealing brakes, Traveling Rattles, Dealership |
Review:
Have had the car for 2 years now and have 30k miles, and I have to agree
that the brakes are a real issue that the dealer does not seem to care about
(they started squeaking a little at first to a constant squeak at different
tones at different stop times now, so no way of avoiding it) and there are
rattles that seem to travel around the car like a winter flu (here one day,
there the next).
The dealership has not been of any help and even told me this is what brakes
are supposed to do. They do wash my car for free so far whenever I want, so
they have been good about that!
I still look at my car everyday and love it, and getting behind the wheel is
something that will make you forget that stuff for a minute... then I hit
the brakes! |

Pros:
Excellent ride and handling. Car looks great and drives accordingly.
Awesome stereo system with Navigation |
Cons:
Brakes have squeaked since I have had the car. Average of $100/month for
maintenance is ridiculous. Buyers BEWARE!! |
Review:
I have had my G35x for only 21 months now and I have paid over $2,100 in
maintenance fees, including the recent replacement of the front brake rotors
at a little over 48,00 km. Rear brakes will need full replacement soon
according to dealership. Changing fluids costs $$$$$ at only half the
warranty up. |

Pros:
Acceleration, handling, Stereo System, Keyless ignition and trunk, Auto
headlights, Navigation. |
Cons:
A rattle when stereo is at a higher level, squeaking brakes, that's it. |
Review:
I have owned my G35 sedan for a little over a year now and continue to
be amazed by the performance, the Stereo System, the handling, and much
more. Money well spent! Every month I find something new. Just today I
notice that I can raise my windows after I turn the engine off. I am glad I
bought this car. |
