INFINITI Q45 TCS, SLIP AND ABS
LIGHTS ARE ON
Question
When I drive my car the slip, TCS & antilock lights come on & stay on.
If I turn the car off & start it up again the lights go off but they come
on again when I start driving, can you tell me what is causing this.
Solution
There are many things that can make the TCS, Slip
and ABS lights to come ON and OFF, but
the most common problem is bad TCS relays (1990-1996 Q45 only), the relays
(2) are located on the
right side of the battery base, the color is blue and measure about 2x2x3
inches. The corrosion of the battery gets to the relays connectors causing
poor contact. Usually replacing both relays and cleaning the
connectors takes care of the problem, but sometimes just cleaning the connectors will do.
