Infiniti Recalls G35 and FX Models

Nissan Motor Co. announced a recall of its luxury brand Infiniti G35 and FX owing to defects in their tank fillers hose.

The company said the recall will affect 138,800 units of the two vehicles.

Nissan dealers will start replacing the affected parts free of charge with new ones.

The recall is related to the fuel vapor hoses. There is a possibility that the fuel filler hose may crack and result in fuel leakage from the hoses while refueling. If an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. In addition, fuel vapor hoses may cracked and cause the malfunction indicator lamp to came on.

The company has yet to receive reports of accidents caused by the fuel filler hose.

The company also clarified that no other vehicle in its lineup is affected by the recall.
