Review:
Can't understand why this model doesn't sell well.
Best car I've ever owned(age-62). Suspension somewhat sloppy, but you get
used to this. Supreme comfort for my misshaped back; very nice seat
adjustments. I'm planning to buy a 2006 model.

Pros:
Performance, comfort, navigation. Simple exterior design with pleasant and elegant interior design. You
won't see a lot of these cars in freeways.
|
Cons:
Mileage, trunk space. Stiffer suspension not available. Not extremely quick off the line. Initial
hesitation issues but dealer installed new accelerator. Not too bad on fuel economy.

Review:
What a car! I've looked at LS430 and BMW 7 series. For the money this is
the car to buy. It offers performance, value and luxury that nobody could
match. This car is very fast!
Excellent value, good performance, nice exterior and interior design. Need to
add stiffer suspension to compete against the best of the world. Would buy
another one. Got more compliments on how nice it is.
I will never get rid of this car. Replaced OEM 18" rims with 20" rims,
installed cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads. I am looking forward to buy
another one.

Hesitation and transmission won't downshift fast. Weak parking break. by Michael Ude from Redondo Beach, CA |

Pros:
Style, luxury, comfort.
|
Cons:
Poor performance even with so much horse power. The computer seems to delay and hold back, having no clue what the driver needs.

Review:
Excellent vehicle except it often takes up to 2 seconds for the vehicle
to respond, resulting in rear end collision. If you need immediate power to
pass when another vehicle is approaching, it feels as if I ran out of gas,
as the vehicle doesn't respond. Also, when you try to downshift manually
from 5 to 3 even at low RPM (like 1800) the computer ignores you and only
downshifts 1 gear after several attempts using the triptronic. This could
result in the driver thinking he/she is in a lower gear with improper
slowing down a long hill.
The performance is erratic. When you don't need power, the vehicle takes off
while when you need it, it hesitates and sometimes feels as if I'm towing a
trailer. The computer seems to not know what the driver needs.
The parking or emergency break is NOT strong enough to hold the vehicle on a
steep hill, nor will it stop the vehicle if the breaks were to fail.
The navigation system is cool, but doesn't allow you to find the closest
programmed location (like the closest Cheesecake factory or Kragen Auto
parts).
