Pros:

Style, muscle.

Cons:

Transmission slippage. Electrical problems. Leaks. Check engine lights before 65k miles for fuel / air mixture problems. Torn upholstery. All expensive and should not happen in this price range of car.

Review:

We bought a black FX45 new in 2005. My wife had to have it. She loved its looks and liked the vroom It's been reliable but, I just did not expect to have the issues we have had up until now with 60K miles on the odometer. Very early we had to return It to the dealer for engine knocking and rough idling. Around 30k miles the slip light kept coming on it took the dealer over a year to find and fix the problem.
At one time we had to have it towed because it was knocking so hard.
Later on the transmission started slipping. That was fixed. A seal started leaking oil from the transfer case. Back to the dealer for both issues.
Fast forward, now our transmission is slipping in first gear and lately, we have the engine code P0171 and P0174. The car only have 60K miles on it. Last year, the drivers seat cover ripped in two places on the side. That's still torn.
To me that says never buy a Nissan car again. I like the new FX50 but I don't want the problems.
I have a 1995 Lexus LS400 that I bought in 1997 with 33k miles on it. I never had an engine light come on until it had over 120k miles and that was for the replacement of the oxygen sensors. That's it. That's quality.
Would I buy another Infiniti? NO!
Would I buy another Lexus? YES! Above all other makes.

Pros:

Handling, Looks

Cons:

Interior not quite at "luxury" class for it's model year.

Review:

Certainly the most fun to drive of any car I have owned. Handles very well in turns with good power for it's weight with excellent balance. The interior is very nice for an 05 but not quite at the same level as some of it's luxury competition. Lot's of room in the back for passengers with reclining rear seats. Good storage in the back but this vehicle isn't for going camping. Not everybody's cup of tea but, for me, the best looking car in it's class

Pros:

Looks great on the outside, but don't let a friend ride with you in your $58,000 car with a dash that looks like it's got a case of boils

Cons:

Horrible quality for the kind of money the car costs, maintenance costs far above similar vehicles, dealer service is outrageous and unprofessional. Infiniti support from the manufacturer is worse than KIA.

Review:

Bought my 2005 FX45 used from an Infiniti dealer Dec 07. Dash bubbling started about 6 months later, a thousand miles after it was out of warranty. We lived with it due to the ridiculous cost of replacing the dash for almost 2 years til we got a letter from Infiniti recalling the car to fix the dash. Drove 3 hours to the dealer to drop it off the day they told us to, only to be told it wasn't in stock and would be 3 weeks. We left the car anyway, and asked them to work on the airbag light which had been blinking for 10,000 miles or so. They called within a couple of days to say that a "crush sensor" was the problem and it would be $569.00 to fix it. I picked it up (no dash yet) the next day and paid, but as soon as I drove out of the lot the light came back on blinking. Took it back, service advisor was embarrassed but said he would handle it. A week later he called and said it was fixed again, although he didn't know what it was this time. Also the dash had come in and had been replaced. Another 3 hour trip to pick it up, and you guessed it, another wasted trip. Dash looked perfect, yay! But the idiot mechanic had dented the aluminum trim piece around the shifter while installing the dash. I guess they thought I wouldn't notice. Truth is I didn't, but my wife did, lol. On top of that, the airbag light once again came on blinking as soon as I started the engine. They've had it now for 2 months and 8 days, and their story now is that it's either the airbag wiring harness under the passenger seat, or the ECU harness in the engine compartment. They don't know which, and they want us to pay for one or both for them to test. Spoke to Infiniti Comsumer affairs (Natalie) and found them to be even more worthless than the dealer. Wouldn't even consider that it might be the exact same problem that they are already recalling G35s for, even though the two cars share the same platform, same sensors, and same wiring harness for the airbag system. I will never ever purchase another Nissan/Infiniti product under any circumstances.

Pros:

Acceleration, handling, cornering with 20" wheels, Hands down best looking Cross Over/SUV, good value, did i mention SEXY..!!

Cons:

Way too Stiff Suspension, terrible Snow handling, Fuel Economy, Blind spots, (Intelligent cruise, and lane departure warning..!!) Headlights

Review:

I love the looks of this car and the sporty, fast, responsive ride..! but the suspension is way too sporty(stiff), it hit a small bump and you feel like the car is gonna jump off the road..!!(perhaps because i have been spoiled by the Lexus ride), i guess it because of the 20" wheels, but it slides better than skates on snow, especially on turns, breaks hardly work on snow..!! for a 4WD!!??
the intelligent cruise and lane departure warning are more annoying than convenient..!! to me..!!
very reliable so far with 50k+, cheapest, Top Notch Dealer maintenance for a lux. $45 oil change every 7k miles..!! for a V8 :) very popular with the ladies..!!

Pros:

Looks and performance!

Cons:

BRAKES SQUEAK VERY LOUD. Especially when backing up!

Review:

Squeaking brakes are Embarrassing !! They started around 16,000. miles, and has gone on every since. I have brought to dealers attention 3 times. Replaced several items dealing with the brakes. STILL SQUEAKS. I would never buy another because of this fact alone.Greatest looks and Luxury items. But this kills all the good!
